Kate got home from work to discover that the crew finishing her basement had applied stain to the steps leading down there and the smell was HORRIFIC! And with her being pregnant & Owen being little, staying there simply wasn't an option.

They showed up around 6:30, begging for the guest room. Needless to say, we said "Sure" and changed the bed real quick (since that's where Sebastian normally sleeps - lol!).

It went smoothly. Owen was relatively well behaved for once & we got an even better look at why he's so normally disobedient. Kate basically completely ignores him until he does something BIG and then she yells at him.

It's the same as it is in dogs: Negative reinforcement is better than none at all.

They may be back again tonight if the fumes don't dissipate some today (and that's not likely since it's too cold to open up windows and let it air).
