Yeah the dogs on the ice on top of the snow. They probably never saw that before.
We remember when we were in about 4th grade, we had freezing rain or sleet on top of snow and we could skate on top of it. It was fun until my sister's blade broke through the ice sheet and she took a really hard fall. We have had many ice storms but have never seen ice quite like that since, covering the snow so thickly so it must have been a lot.
