I am not sure what would stop your wise guy. I don't advocate shock collars but we had to resort to that when nothing else work when Ranger was barking at the bark fence so viciously at the neighbor dogs. We started very low until we found the level he would listen to. We still use it on occasion as a reminder but he has pretty much quit.
