Between the doctor's office, Krogers (the easiest part of the ordeal), I don't know how many phone calls to insurance, and explaining a gazillion times that "Yes, I know it's a controlled substance. Yes, I know I'm not the person it was prescribed for. I'm his frickin' WIFE! If he could be here, he would be but he can't so you're gonna have to deal with ME!", I got John's prescription. Only 7 days of the 10 that were prescribed but I'll take it. I'll deal with the rest next week if I have to.

And in the middle of all that, the new oncologist's office called so I was coordinatign that at the same time. We agreed to wait & see him after we go to MDA in January at which time when can have MDA copy of all of his info, treatment plans, history, scans, test results, etc. to the new guy so he has everything he needs to care for John on this end. We'll get back from Houston on Jan 29th and the appt is set for Feb 5th. But in the meantime, if there's an emergency they said for us to feel free to call & they'll work him in earlier. Oh and for "normal" appointments, we don't even have to go all the way to Lexington. He sees patients in Frankfort (just 20 minutes away) one day a week!!!!!!!

Dang. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop because we NEVER EVER got this level of cooperation (or respect) at UK!
