I had rice stored and it is just past its sell by date. Sugar was very low at Walmart. My sis just updated their generator so we are buying theirs.

And on the financial front,our car and home policy just jumped 900 bucks from last year but if we pay it by the year it will save 300. So we are going to do that. I hope they can lower it more though. It is getting scary with inflation that they say is going down but really isn't. So far we have never had to go into our investments but not sure what is going to happen and how long that can last to not tough it. Steve has been retired now 13 years. Just glad the house is paid for. Our medicare supplements will be going sky high too, and we were so hoping to keep those. My friends house taxes in Kalamazoo just rose to almost 5500 bucks. It is frightening. I just hope someone doesn't go running down the road and torch our homes if the election doesn't go their way. Or break store windows and loot everything. I believe most people are still good and caring but there are some real nuts out there! On both sides. This election terrifies me!
