She understands why I just couldn't be there for her father's visitation & funeral.

She & I & another friend went out for lunch yesterday. It was therapeautic for all of us. In addition to what she & I are dealing with, the other friend is recovering from her EIGHTH eye surgery in just a few years after losing her parents last year. It was definitely a "hen session" for the 3 of us. Much venting. Much laughing. A few tears.

We may or may not have emptied our section of the restaurant....

I also got to meet the one friend's son's absolutely delightful rescue husky! Kita is soooooo sweet!!!! And well behaved! She & "C" are inseperable - she even goes to concerts with him (when they allow pets). The pic is when she & "C" got to meet Tyler Childers and his wife, Senora, after a show:
