Oh, man........I let Zak out onto the deck because I was going to take him for a walk, went back in to get a tissue, went out, gate was open, Zak was gone! OMG!! Ran out into the street screaming his name......nothing! Hopped in the car and drove around the block screaming for him - no luck. My heart was in my throat - all I could think was that I would never see him again. Turned down my road and saw my neighbor on the corner walking down the road with him. Whew! Thank you, Lord! I think I aged 10 years! I thanked my neighbor a hundred times. I actually put HER dog back in her yard when I found him in the road a while ago.

Anyway........making sure everyone has current tags and a phone number on their collars.

It was MY fault. If you don't make sure the deck gate is latched, Zak can nose it open.
