we had a handle on his barking. I quit using the shock collar quite a while ago because we thought it was contributing to the lick granuloma he got, (which is healing well)
But the last few days he is so barky! I took him out just now and he took one look towards the back of the fence where the neighbor dogs' kennel is right almost against it on the other side and he just went batsh*t crazy. Of coarse it is a dark, quiet night so his barking sounded even more vicious, loud and awful. I have tried squirting him in the face with a spray bottle. That didn't go well either. Holding his mouth closed works for as long as I hold it closed but then he will start up again. Positive reinforcement is a total joke with this dog. I have had good luck with it in the past with Indy and a couple of others but this guy is so stubborn! I am just clueless as to what to try next. We love him so much but he drives us crazy! Are the dogs different than they were a dozen years ago?
