Last Thursday I saw a little bit of blood in her poop and the last part of it was loose/not formed. I took a sample in to be sent out for a fecal. On Friday I got a text from the vet's office stating the fecal was negative. My vet was on vacation last week, returned today. I started giving Harlee metronidazole and feeding her chicken and rice. There has been no more blood, but her poop is like soft serve ice cream and I'm concerned because she has NEVER had diarrhea in her entire life.

I called the vet's office and spoke to a tech there I know. I asked her to leave a msg for my vet and he should call me in the morning. He's semi-retired and only works 4 days a week only till 12:30.

I'm wondering if she should be tested for something else and if there's something better than metronidazole.
