Woke up yesterday to sewage dripping into the laundry room. Seems the pipe leading out of the house had broken. And since the old pipe goes out underneath a concrete slab with a wood porch on top of it, they're having to put in a new pipe that goes out thru my flower bed and into the yard which will then turn & attach into the old lines to get to the septic tank.
At least they got here quickly to deal with it....
No idea what it's gonna cost but it had to be done.
In the meantime, we're also waiting to hear what it's going to cost to get the Outback back on the road. It almost left us stuck at the airport when we got back from Houston but John finally managed to get it started. It kept acting up tho so we took it in. Turns out the valve covers were leaking oil into the spark plugs. When they tried to replace the valve covers, the bolts were seized and one of them snapped off. And the only way to fix THAT is to pull the whole frickin' engine out, drill the old bolts out, and put in new ones. That's not gonna be pretty.
At this point, thank God everyone takes credit cards...
Oh and I just had to order new front tires for the TerraPro (ATV mower) that we use on the rough spots here where the zero turn can't go. The ones on it are the originals from 1988 and none of the dealers we talked to locally could get them anymore. I found some thru a TerraPro fan group though & got them ordered. Sheesh.....
