Your situation does sound hinky though. I'd just keep an eye on it & if they screw something up, make them fix it.
T & Meg ended up with a $700 office chair because Amazon screwed up their order. Sent them the chair instead of an electric smoker. Then wanted THEM to pay to have it shipped back. Meg is timid but when you push her too far, she goes full redneck. So they got to keep the chair AND had the smoker shipped overnight to them. (It was a Christmas present & was supposed to have arrived weeks earlier to begin with.)
