There were a lot of patients on crutches with foot and ankle casts on one of their feet at the orthopedist office yesterday. There was just two other patients in the waiting room besides me who were fully mobile. It was a long wait for a five minute follow up appointment. I didn't get home until nearly 5 pm and there were dark grey rain clouds so I didn't chance a walk to the laundromat even though the rain showers ultimately missed my neighborhood. I will go Tuesday. No real chance of rain for a few days after this weekend.
It's just a quiet day taking care of the usual chores. I have to start thinking about getting things set up for my other sister's trip up here next weekend and Sam staying for a while. Some visits Sam gets very upset being left up here and is slow to warm up to us and hides a lot. Nigel is a very good natured playful cat and wants to hang out and play with Sam. He gets very confused when Sam gets crabby and balky.
We have to take that little male tabby stray cat who hangs out on the front porch and in the backyard to the vet so he can come into the house and officially be our second cat. I'm thinking canned cat food placed in the cat carrier out on the front porch to lure him into the carrier. Nobody seems to be looking for him, he was likely abandoned by his owners. He looks like he is about a year old and is also good natured. He would make a good buddy for Nigel. Sam will be thoroughly confused by all this though when it happens. I still need to pick a name for this little cat. Since Nigel is an British first name, I should pick a name from the UK for him as well, keep the theme going.
