It's sunny, in the upper 80s and on the humid side. The humidity will get worse tonight and for the rest of the week. I had a grocery delivery arrive a little while ago. There's Breyer's chocolate ice cream which hits the spot for a summer day snack.

I put off going to the laundromat today. There isn't all that much. It's always amusing to me how little room lightweight summer clothing and bedding takes up in a washing machine versus the bulkier winter clothing and flannel sheet sets and heavy blankets. Only the towels stay the same weight and thickness all year long. I may go tomorrow or wait until early next week. It's financially wasteful to do only partial dark and light loads. We'll see.

I spent a while yesterday picking up small branches and twigs from all the recent storms for today's yard waste pickup. I was glad to get that out. The shower chances return tomorrow but are supposed to be very hit or miss. It's just the usual chores today. I should mow the lawn when it's cooling down outside right after dinner.

Tomorrow I will call my sister in Virginia in the evening. She's visiting later this month. She'll be attending a conference over in NYC then take some vacation time. She hasn't been up here since the Christmas and New Year's holidays. She wasn't sure when the dates for the conference are, it's either the third or fourth week of this month. She's a budget person so there are conferences every so often specifically for people who work on budgets.

My rheumatologist appointment for later this month was put off because she'll be dealing with some sort of administrative meetings all day that day. Right now my appointment was bumped back until September but I am on the wait list to move the appointment up sooner if another patient cancels their appointment later this month or in August.
