This was a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis ordered by my new rheumatologist. It's looking to assess a few things. The fact I have some pleurisy and swollen lymph nodes (lymphadenopathy) showed up on the CT scan of my chest checking out my lungs done back in May. That scan also showed a 3mm nodule on my right lung which could be caused by either my having had bronchitis back in February or it could be a sign of the autoimmune disorders, so that is being looked at again. Plus I have never had my gallbladder show up on any previous CT scans or ultrasounds. Some people are actually born with normal bile ducts but no gallbladder, and some have no symptoms but others have a lifetime of digestive tract issues. I have always had digestive tract problems since early childhood and have been living with IBS-D since I was a teenager. So the CT scans will be analyzed to see if they can actually find a gallbladder this time. Either I have a very tiny gallbladder that likes to hide behind other organs or I was born without one. She also wants to rule out inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. My next appointment with the rheumatologist is for the end of this month so I will find out the results then.
It's sunny, humid, in the low 90s heading up to the mid 90s. Tomorrow and Friday it will hit about 100 degrees or so. It's supposed to be in the mid to upper 90s on Saturday and low 90s on Sunday. It won't go back down to highs in the 80s until next Monday.
I'm waiting on my Kohl's order to arrive. I didn't get to the laundromat yesterday. For some weird reason the neighborhood middle school decided to have their party for the graduating eighth graders yesterday afternoon complete with a food truck so it wasn't a good day to walk past all that to go down to the laundromat. So I will have to go down either later this afternoon or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow since I have plenty of other chores to contend with. I'm keeping it smaller and simple with lugging laundry in the cart, just washing clothes, not towels or bedding. That stuff can sit in the hamper until next week when the temperatures are more reasonable. It's a short walk to the laundromat and I have Gatorade chilling in the fridge so I can take a bottle with me when I do go.
The schools all let out for the summer early last week so it's odd they waited a week to have the party. They seem to be running their half day summer program again this summer that lets out at lunchtime. It's a STEM and classical education plus sports (soccer and basketball) focused middle school. So they are spending time outside playing soccer and likely spend the rest of the time working on computer skills for this summer program. They have run this program previous summers except for last year for some reason and also not during the Covid lockdown of course.
Our recycling day was moved up to tomorrow instead of the typical Friday with the holiday weekend so I need to get all that out the door to the front curb this afternoon and tomorrow is our normal garbage pickup day so I need to get that pail out to the curb separated from the recycling containers.
