It's mostly sunny, more humid today, in the low 80s heading into the 90s again but not as hot as yesterday's 97. The cold front thunderstorms should reach us by dinnertime or slightly before.

The overnight low tonight is supposed to be 59, Saturday's high temperature is only supposed to be 59. The cold snap is going to be a shock to the system after the summer-like weather. I will definitely need to flush out the boiler and add fresh water this afternoon. Tomorrow night's low temperature is forecasted to be 50 degrees. It will get down into the upper 40s not far from here.

I'm waiting on the rest of my Amazon order. So far I got the Prime Fresh, I ordered a bottle of Tropicana orange juice and they gave me an extra bottle. Their error in my favor since I wasn't charged for the second bottle.

Apparently the power went out three times with our neighborhood electric grid yesterday without me knowing it until afterwards. One of my sister's friends is a librarian over at our local library and she told my sister what happened. My sister told me about all this last night. I missed the first two power failures while away at PT on the other side of town and with the Uber app glitchy yesterday it took quite a while to get a ride set up afterwards so I didn't get back home until nearly 4 pm. The power was on when I came home, nothing seemed amiss and I hadn't yet noticed the time was zeroed out on the microwave. I sat out on the front porch for a while with the turtle and unbeknownst to me the power went out for the third time and I didn't know until I received a text notification from the gas and electric company. I didn't go back inside the house for another 5-10 minutes after I received the text and at that time the power was back on already. I have no idea what triggered all this. Maybe the grid was overloaded by too many people cranking up their central air conditioning units with the hot temperatures?

The lawn needs mowing but by the time the after school programs school traffic and kids walking around the neighborhood clears up, that might be close to when the thunderstorms start rolling in, so I may mow later today or else do it tomorrow afternoon following my PT session. Otherwise it's a bit muggy for yardwork in the heat of the day for pulling weeds and cutting out wisteria vines, so it will just be the usual indoor chores today.

It's supposed to be a chilly and wet weekend so with tomorrow being a PT afternoon, I will have set set up my supermarket grocery delivery order for Friday.
