Nope. Everything is more spread out here and you're going to see specialists in different communities so you go by car or take a medical transport van which is a whole complicated procedure and because the medical transport van is carrying multiple people so you need to be picked up two hours ahead of your appointment time and need to wait up to sixty minutes after your appointment is done to get picked back up to go home. It's less complicated using Uber or Lyft if you don't have your own car.
It's hazy and in the 70s heading up to the low 90s again just like yesterday. No rain, so plant watering again today. My hibiscus is not doing well, it's really struggling having been stuck inside the house for too long. It's difficult successfully keeping tropical hibiscus up here.
The peonies are still shut. The iris leaves are huge but so far no stems growing for flowers. The family across the street has iris plants and so far they also have lots of large leaves but only one flowering stem. The last time we had a nasty winter the irises didn't have flowers either, just the large leaves.
Yesterday the turtle had a bath in a clear plastic shoebox container out in the sunlight on the front porch while I sat out with her. She enjoyed herself looking around at the trees and shrubs, the birds, little skipper butterflies and other insects flying around. She was even curious enough to watch some of the cars and a moped driving up and down the street. I'll have to give her another front porch bath this afternoon before the school dismissal traffic madness happens.
I should go to the laundromat later this afternoon, otherwise it means going tomorrow after my PT session. It's going to be hotter tomorrow in the upper 90s which is crazy for mid May. So far I am keeping all the windows closed in the house to keep it cooler than outside. It hit 91 yesterday and the thermometer in the living room said it was 78 degrees last night. The cold front will come through on Wednesday afternoon with thunderstorms and by Thursday the nighttime lows are going to be back down to around 50 degrees again so the heat will have to come back on at night later in the week. I should flush the boiler out and add fresh water.
