It's mostly sunny and heading into the upper 70s. This is the beginning of our hot weather with above normal temperatures through next Wednesday, followed by days of below normal temperatures by next weekend into the Memorial Day holiday. No possibility of real rain here until next Wednesday evening when a cold front comes through. Maybe there will be a stray light shower later tonight but that's iffy. I'll keep on watering the outside plants. We're nearly at a five inch deficit in rainfall.
So Amazon issued me that Amazon gift credit to refund for that order they lost at their distribution warehouse over a week ago and were not expecting to be easily findable and deliverable, and I bought replacements. Well guess what showed up at my door today- the original shipping bag must have ripped open at the distribution warehouse and they found two items of the five I ordered and they put those two in a new shipping bag. It would have been nice if they had gathered up everything that fell out and I had received it all in its entirety. Oh, well. Other replacements came today separately packed in a sturdy cardboard box alongside newly ordered things, and the last replacement item will be delivered tomorrow. The irony is they're talking about laying off more workers too. They're going to make a mess of things more often if they don't have enough people working at all the warehouses.
They didn't used to make so many mistakes like this, mix ups used to happen less often.
It's basically a quiet day here taking care of the usual tasks with tv watching this evening. My knees are still sore and I'm feeling tired, so I will sort the laundry today but will take it to the laundromat on Monday.
