I did yardwork yesterday in the front yard trimming back some things. I didn't mow the front lawn over the weekend so I will probably do it after the school kids are gone from their afterschool programs. The blossoms are all falling off the lilac bush. The blooms are fading on the bleeding hearts but there are plenty of periwinkle flowers since we use it as ground cover on part of the front lawn to discourage the kids from the school from running in our lawn, like they do in some on other families' lawns when they run up our street. Our roses aren't open yet though.
I should set up a supermarket delivery order for tomorrow since we're due for rain showers both Wednesday and Thursday. I don't want to get stuck waiting until Friday. I'll be out of sandwich bread and be low on milk, eggs, and Nigel's canned cat food by then. I have an Amazon order coming later of a few shelf stable items at better prices than the supermarket. These days it definitely pays to comparison shop for everything, look for the best deals.
I'm also reorganizing things piecemeal and I should pack away the cold weather clothing that's had its final wash for the season, just leave out a couple of long sleeved lighter weight shirts for potential cooler days.
