It's cloudy and rather windy, with some pretty strong gusts. Not slamming against the house strong, but still unpleasantly windy. It's not showering at the moment but the ground is wet from rain during the night and we're due for on and off showers today. It's in the low 50s but the temperature will drop through the 40s starting this afternoon. We already have a freeze watch in place for tomorrow night.
The heat went on for a little while earlier but the house is still in the process of cooling down from those 90 degrees days. It's supposed to be in the low 40s overnight tonight so the furnace will be cranking by then.
When I was down at the Walgreens yesterday I saw all the cherry trees on the street around the corner already lost their blossoms and have growing leaves. There are a few more African violets popping open on our front lawn with more periwinkle flowers growing as well. We never did get more than that one tulip or the one daffodil flower this time.
It's definitely an indoors day, taking care of the usual chores plus some spring cleaning and reorganizing. The cat's birthday is on Tuesday so yesterday I ordered him a wand cat toy online that should arrive tomorrow. Nigel is a pandemic lockdown baby who is turning six years old.
