The road pavers finished our street a little while ago and have moved on to another nearby street and I can hear the sound of the equipment in the distance. The noise of it upset the cat and he hid underneath a side table in the front hall part of the time, very upset meowing at the beginning. He's okay now that they have moved on.
The CT scan of my lungs didn't take very long yesterday. Afterwards I went to the supermarket next door and spent way too much money buying things that fit into my backpack and two small reusable grocery bags. Everything costs and arm and a leg. No county rideshare rides available so I took an Uber home.
It's a quiet day today. Just basic chores and sorting the laundry for the laundromat tomorrow afternoon.
Yesterday evening we had a little rain with a few claps of thunder in the area, close enough to make the cat unhappy, but not directly overhead. Poor Nigel, he is not a fan of loud or intense noises. He ran underneath the dining room table to hide for a few minutes last night.
We're still in drought so I am watering the outside plants too. Our viburnum shrubs are in bloom. I love the fragrance of those flowers. I don't understand why none of the perfume makers have have evered bothered to made a viburnum perfume. I wish someone would. So far, we only have just the one tulip. I don't know why others haven't popped up yet. No African violets yet either.
