It's mostly cloudy and in the low 70s heading to close to 80 later. It will be in the 80s through Friday then slowly cool down over the weekend. The 80s are June temperatures for us. Maybe we'll get a light shower later but no guarantees.

I just microwaved a hot pocket sandwich for lunch to have with a cold glass of milk, keeping it fast and simple since I have to get ready to go to my dermatologist appointment in a while.

I hear the mockingbird who can mimick a wide variety of other bird's calls in one of the nearby trees going through its routine. Lots of cardinal calls and bluejay calls, with sparrow vocalizations thrown into the mix. That bird will perch in a tree and sing its little heart out for long periods of time. It's probably a male mockingbird trying to impress the female mockingbirds, looking for a mate. The white throated sparrows are also vocal with their birdsong.

I have a package coming from Amazon I hope arrives before I leave so it's not sitting on the porch with me not home for several hours. I try to avoid that when I can. It has the summer 2026 flavors of Hint water in it. I'm not so impressed with their winter collections, but their summer collections have always been very tasty. This year's theme is summertime fruity sherbet flavors.
