The temperatures weren't bad yesterday afternoon when I went to my doctor's appointment, but by the time the sun went down we again had temps in the mid 40s with a biting wind making it feel like it was in the mid 30s. I again wore my down ski jacket when I filled the bird feeders at 7:30 yesterday evening and when I put the recycling out to the front curb a little while afterwards. It was 40 degrees when I went to bed.

It was in the low 40s when I woke up, it's getting better now, in the 50s and should get above 60 degrees later this afternoon. It's sunny with low humidity and hasn't rained in several days so I will water the outdoor plants later. Walking home from Walgreens yesterday I took a different route, walking on a street with a bunch of cherry trees that were planted as city trees on that strip of lawn in front of the houses between the sidewalks and the curbs. They were all in bloom, very pretty. Several of the residential side streets that are parallel to ours have been scraped. Today I can hear them working on the next parallel street north of us, our backyard neighbors road. The no parking signs were changed to April 15 and 16, for their repaving crews to come in and lay down the asphalt in the neighborhood.

I got a phone call earlier to set up my CT scan of my lungs. I'll be having it next week at the imaging center in the medical office building that is next to the supermarket, so I can run in to the store before I go home, can take more money out cashback from the self checkout. The supermarket lets you take out up to fifty dollars cashback. At Walgreens you can only take a maximum of twenty, so I have twenty dollars for the laundromat but still don't have cash on hand sitting in my purse otherwise. I'm planning on taking the bedding and towels to the laundromat later this afternoon.

I was too tired to deal with thinking about a supermarket food order yesterday after finishing the evening chores, so I just relaxed and watched tv. Today I will put together an order to be delivered tomorrow.
