The road crew came early and were finished scraping the road by quarter to eight and left to go work a few blocks away. Who knows when the road will be repaved. It's pretty much wait until they put up new no parking from 7 am to 5 pm on 'x' date signs on our street to find out.
Later this afternoon I see the knee orthopedist. I can feel the hyaluronic acid gel is starting to wear off. It only lasts for six months, so it is time for me to get the injections again. I have to see him in person before he can process the paperwork with my HMO. It should take about three weeks before Walgreens will send him the vial. It will time out nicely with my going back to PT next month. It definitely helps having PT in conjunction with getting the injections since you're relubricating the knee joints at the same time you're strengthening the muscles and tendons around them with the exercises. This is how I can still function living in this two story old colonial house with lots of stairs and can put off having my knees get so bad they need replacement surgeries.
Tonight I will place a grocery order from Stop and Shop for delivery tomorrow afternoon. I also have to sort out the recycling later for tomorrow's pickup. With the roadwork they couldn't pick up the yard waste at lunchtime yesterday, nor pick up the garbage at 7 am this morning. At least the recycling pickup will happen as scheduled for us tomorrow.
