The earliest cluster of snowdrops along the walkway by the front porch are growing. It's too soon for the rest of them. Hopefully they'll start growing on the rest of the lawn next week when it's warmer out. I saw my first robin of spring in the front yard on Saturday afternoon. Soon the juncos will leave to head up to New England and Canada for the season.
I still feel tired, worn out, achy and get winded easily at times. My throat is still dry and scratchy. I don't feel all that hungry and my stomach gets achy unless I just slowly graze instead of eating full meals at once. No more coughing up mucus from my chest, less mucus in my sinuses but it's still slow going recuperating from this virus. I'm still so tired I need to nap in the afternoon before dinner. Tomorrow is my primary care doctor appointment and we're supposed to get light snow turning over to rain so that will be fun- not.
Fortunately after tomorrow the temperatures will be close to 50 degrees and will hit 60 by the weekend. I need to get to the laundromat later this week and do some washing. I own three weeks worth of pants, socks, underwear so I am getting on the low side with clean clothing since I haven't done laundry for a little over two weeks, and need to do multiple loads. I have plenty of shirts on hand so I am in no danger of running out of clean shirts right away so that's not an issue but my two sets of flannel sheets also need washing along with bath towels. I had to put a cotton percale sheet set on when I changed the bedding over the weekend. I'm not going to be able to wash everything at once. I'll have to go several times. I also have a limited amount of quarters so I am going to need to get to a store soon where I can do cash back at the checkout since I have no paper money at home right now.
With most of the snow melted away I pulled a couple of branches off the front lawn that fell during the blizzard and stuck them in one of the pails. The weekly yard waste pickup will resume for the season later this month. There are branches and twigs around in the yards that will need to be picked up to go out.
Hopefully on the weekend I will be able to take the plants out of the basement and put them back outside. I'm keeping my fingers crossed tonight will be the last night the temperatures will go down into the teens at night until next winter.
