Thursday night into yesterday morning I started coughing up mucus and was at the hospital ER yesterday getting checked out. I have bronchitis from a respiratory virus in the same family as RSV, but it's not RSV itself. It can cause pneumonia which I don't currently have but I have to be careful. I have to use my Albuterol inhaler more often and use the guifenisen expectorant medicine to make it easier for me to cough the mucus out of my chest. My chest is tight and I get short of breath easily. This a symptom of the virus itself that can happen to anyone not just people with asthma, like me.

I mask up indoors in public but most people don't even when they're sick. The county rideshare can mean riding with as many as three more fellow passengers, plus the driver. It's low cost in part because you're only riding alone with the driver if there isn't anyone in your area needing a ride at the same time as you.

Obviously I will have to completely cancel out this round of physical therapy and go back in the spring. Even when this virus goes away it usually takes up to a month afterwards for my body to fully recover from having had bronchitis.

It's bad timing because we're due to get that snow storm tomorrow afternoon into Monday morning. My sister is going to have to shovel the snow off the sidewalks and walkway by herself. I'm too sick to do it.
