It's on and off rain showers today. It's in the upper 30s heading to the mid 40s. I wish it would get to be 70 degrees in the afternoons here. But that's still several months away. The neighborhood middle school is open today. I guess since there had been a couple of snow days this winter, the winter break was shortened from a full week to just Monday and Tuesday.

I'm coughing, sneezing, have a runny nose and too much post nasal drip. This bug is making me feel lousy and I cancelled my PT appointments for this week. I'm currently scheduled next week for Tuesday. Hopefully I will shake this infection by then. The same thing happened this time last year, a sinus infection with swollen neck glands and a head cold at the same time. My throat is so scratchy I wish I had the honey cough drops. Maybe Amazon has them on fast delivery. I have the cherry Ludens drops, but honey is better for a super scratchy throat. I'm still taking the antibiotics to try to keep this out of my chest.

So it's a resting day just doing the essential chores. Yesterday it hit 51 degrees but with this bug I wasn't up to spending time outdoors enjoying the milder weather except to bring in my grocery delivery and the mail. Nothing exciting with the mail yesterday. I was hoping Herrschner's online crafts store had sent their monthly printed mini-catalog. I remember when Herrschner's was a mail order business in the 1980s and 90s and they mailed out thicker catalogs, back when they sold supplies for a greater variety of crafts. Now they're focused on mainly knitting and crocheting with a small amount of embroidery and latch hook rug supplies, with a few kid crafts things. Maybe it will come in the mail this afternoon and provide me with a distraction from this bug for a while.
