They took the recycling early this morning while I was asleep. They usually hit our neighborhood at lunchtime, so I was surprised especially with the cold temperatures.
This cold weather is awful. It's making feel very tired and my muscles get stiff and cramp up. My arthritis isn't happy with this weather either. They're still thinking with Sunday's storm we'll either get nothing or a small amount of snow. The Carolinas will bear the brunt of the storm with the highest snow totals. They don't have proper snow removal equipment, especially for dealing with local municipal roads, so it's going to be rough going for them.
My online orders arrive tomorrow and my Kohl's package hasn't been shipped out yet, so I won't have items in transit during this new storm. I decided to put off having groceries delivered from the supermarket until some time next week. I still have enough people food, cat food, and bird seed.
I don't think the basement plants are going to be able to go back outside any time soon and will probably be down there until late February or early March at this rate with the way this weather is going. We're supposed to go into the mid 30s several days in the middle of next week then go right back to highs in the 20s again. Now that February starts on Sunday the typical daytime high should be about 39-40 degrees. That's not happening any time soon, probably not for several more weeks.
