It was sunny and did make it up into the mid 20s. The USPS says it has suspended mail delivery for parts of the country walloped by the bad storm. We had no mail delivery yesterday or today. I have seen no mail trucks, but our residential streets are still a mess. They never finished plowing down to blacktop. They never put down salt. The bigger delivery trucks from UPS, Amazon, FedEx can get around, but the small mail trucks are very lightweight and I have seen a mail carrier get their truck get stuck in the past.

I had to make a spot to put the garbage pail next to the driveway apron where it's not in the way for my sister using the driveway for her SUV. But I don't know where I am going to put the recycling containers tomorrow evening for the Friday lunchtime pickup because there are mounds of snow all along the curbs. I don't even know if the DPW even plans to pick up the recycling in this weather.

The weather forecasters are saying it may not go above freezing at all next week. It may only top out just below freezing at 30 degrees. I hope that turns out not to be true. This weather is just awful.
