We started shoveling on Saturday at 10 pm until midnight, then did more shoveling yesterday afternoon where it made it up to 31 degrees and the sun was out in the afternoon. The residential streets were plowed but not salted so they're still a bit messy. Only the main streets which were plowed by the county received road salt. Incompetent city government at work again and it's a municipal election year to boot.
I'm tired and achy from all the shoveling. It's more of a resting day for me. But now there's the possibility of us getting clobbered by another snow storm next weekend so it will be time to prepare for that. I'll have to set up another grocery delivery order for Thursday, order odds and ends on Amazon. Amazon starts delivering again around here tomorrow. I saw a UPS delivery truck drive past the house a little while ago, so they're functioning again. There's a big bag of Nigel's Blue Buffalo dry cat food on the way for Thursday delivery.
I got a call from the physical therapy place yesterday wondering if I wanted to start right away. I told them next week after the worst of all this has passed and when we know what's going to happen with the snow next weekend, if it will hit us head on with a major nor'easter with a foot or two of more snow on top of the 10 inches we got on Sunday, or if it will head out to sea and we'll just get a glancing blow of light nuisance snow.
I'm just so tired of winter and can't wait for it to be spring.
