It was bright sun and 10 degrees when I woke up this morning. Now it's sun and clouds mix and 20 degrees. Fortunately the winds are breezy, not strong gusts. This arctic blast is supposed to last somewhere between 10 and 14 days. The warmest day of this upcoming week will be Monday when it gets up into the mid to upper 20s. They're still expecting us to get about a foot of snow with maybe a little sleet mixed in. The town
hasn't pre-storm salted/brined our street yet.
Amazon isn't delivering anything in my area after 10 pm this evening, until next Wednesday. My orders have all been delivered and I shouldn't need to order anything from them until later next week. I have $10 Kohl's cash but won't order anything from them until after the storm passes and I know what's up with the preliminary prediction of us getting more snow late next week. A package that gets stuck sitting in a delivery hub due to bad weather is at greater risk of getting lost in the system.
Heidi, run a Google search for ethnic food and meat shops in your area. On my mom's side of the family we're Austrian and Hungarian. Both of her parents were born in Austria. One of our neighboring towns has a Hungarian meat shop and they make their own sausage which tastes really good.
