I think tomorrow's nuisance snow will mostly miss us and hit Long Island and South Jersey instead.
They took x-rays of my feet and ankles yesterday and everything looks pretty much the same. I don't like this orthopedist as much as my old one who left after she had her baby. She gave me a script for PT and for a custom ankle brace if I can get my HMO to pay for the it with a reasonable co-pay. But she gave me a hard time when she asked whether I had an autoimmune disorder diagnosis and why I'm not taking immunosuppressant medicine. I explained about my difficulty with getting a diagnosis despite having the abnormal test results and needing to get a new rheumatologist at the University Medical Center, and I can't take immunosuppressives because of my asthma and she didn't want to hear my answer. So why ask the question in the first place?
So some time during the new week I'll call to schedule the physical therapy assessment. I have a rheumatologist in mind to call but it's awkward that I may need to change insurance companies in March if Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield doesn't renegotiate a new contract with the major hospital health system here in my county so I can keep my primary care doctor of over a dozen years now.
