Just a housework day here. Maybe some leaf raking after the kids get out of school. Last year my town changed the schedule so the yard waste pickups ended in mid December instead of the end of the month. I thought they were doing the same this year but I checked online and luckily they've gone back to running it until the end of next month. That's a relief since the trees aren't all bare here until later in December. I rake the front yard and along the driveway but not on the other side yard, that's hidden from street view by the neighbor's fence anyway, and very little in the backyard. Yard waste collection during the winter is just for Christmas trees or if you have very large cut up branches/tree limbs that need to be picked up you can call to be put on their pickup list. The weekly collections always begin mid March.
I keep on seeing and hearing news stories telling people it's better to let leaves be in yards, on lawns. It's better for the soil, plants and trees, the environment. But you have to watch it in my town because you can be fined over a hundred dollars from the housing department for having too many leaves on your front lawn.
Tomorrow afternoon I have my dermatologist appointment but I should be home before the rain starts. The heavier rain is expected in the evening fortunately. The rain will usher in a temporary warm front and it's supposed to be 60 degrees on Wednesday but get cold again for Thanksgiving and next weekend.
Amazon had a good sale on a set of long aluminum Tunisian crochet hooks in sizes from 2mm on up to the larger sizes for chunkier yarns and the package was just dropped off. You don't often see Tunisian hooks in smaller sizes you can use for lace weight yarns to make more delicate things.
