Because I have the heart condition where I can have arrhythmias I have to be super careful about what I take since some meds have potential cardiac side effects.
It's a sun and clouds mix and in the mid 50s for the day. We may get a shower later this afternoon or this evening. The steady heavier rain with gusty winds arrives tomorrow. Because of that I set my Amazon package arrival date for a backpack I ordered yesterday to arrive Friday instead of tomorrow. They have backpacks on sale and I found a good deal on one. It will make carrying things easier for shopping using the county rideshare. I do not understand why you can't put items in the rear cargo area of the minivans they use and must have them on your lap or by your feet. I still haven't received any notification yet on approval on door to door pickup and drop off yet. I filled out the form online last Thursday so it's been a week. The website says it's only supposed to take one business day to hear back from them.
I should go do some laundry later this afternoon after all the hustle and traffic from the kids getting out of the neighborhood school. I really need to buy an upright wheeled laundry cart. Those things sold for $20 pre-pandemic. Now the cheapest ones sell for $35+ but some come with $20 shipping fees even on Amazon, but almost all of them cost between $40-$60 which is crazy to think about. I need to focus on the online sales. My Uniqlo order arrived so I should wash those clothes. I still have another gift card tucked away. My sister from Virginia gives clothing store gift cards as Christmas gifts every year. I haven't set foot in a Uniqlo store in years, just occasionally ordered online so that's how I still have unused gift cards from them.
She got recalled and went back to work yesterday. Fortunately her agency has reserve funds to pay the employees working through the shutdown. So she had been furloughed for a week and doesn't know if/when she'll get furloughed again.
I've finished compiling a list of potential rheumatologists, researching their areas of expertise and have a half dozen or so people to choose from. One is up-county further up the same road as my current rheumatologist I am dropping because she doesn't want to bother anymore. The rest are in the county to the east, and two are near where my orthopedists are located. The others mostly by the big major university medical center campus. One is on the eastern end of the county closer to our side of the Hudson River, across from NYC.
They all are listed as having familiarity with IgG4 autoimmune issues among various other conditions. My body is producing IgG4 autoantibodies and there are various autoimmune conditions associated with that including IgG4 RD which can affect organs in the digestive tract, plus it can cause chronic dry eyes and dry mouth issues. My digestive system is more wonky than it used to be which is saying something since I have had IBS-D since I was in high school, plus I have the chronic dry eye and dry mouth issues. I still can't retain moisture in my skin either no matter how much water I drink per day, and no matter how much moisturizer I use on my skin. Since multiple diseases are associated with these autoantibodies and most autoimmune disorders affect assorted organs I need a doctor willing to take the time to run advanced tests to get this figured out.
