Today was the last day it made it into the 60s for a while. It's mid to upper 50s for the highs for the next seven days at least.

The pharmacy filled my prescription kinda late yesterday so I picked it up this afternoon. I did a Google search on the 'doctor' I saw yesterday and found out she's not a doctor, she's only a physician's assistant. Her resume is less impressive than the doctor I had planned to see. I already received a text message about next month's follow up visit with the physician's assistant. I need to see if I can switch to seeing the actual doctor I signed up to see in the first place.

Tomorrow is my last round of knee injections. It will nice to get that finished. It takes about a month for maximum effect to kick in. These shots will definitely make a positive difference with my knees this coming winter.

I hope there is a deal worked out with the government shutdown soon. My sister in Virginia got furloughed Tuesday. My oldest niece's husband is an Iraq war veteran working as a civilian employee for the defense department at a military base. The soldiers are currently getting paid, but I am not sure about the civilian employees of the military. He is in military intelligence so he's definitely essential and working through the shut down. Their oldest is already out of school, is working as a teacher and is newly engaged, but the younger ones are living at home attending college locally. My niece works part time as a teacher's aid at their neighborhood grammar school.
