It's chilly, just in the upper 50s. We had wind and steady rain all last night and this morning. Now it's lighter rain on and off with wind gusts. It's a lot worse down at the Jersey shore.

Obviously it's not the day to walk over a load of laundry to the laundromat. I'll do a load after I get back from my eye doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon. I see the dry eye specialist again.

The schools had half day today with the holiday. I remember when kids used to get Columbus Day off. It's a federal holiday after all. No mail delivery today of course but we haven't received mail since Thursday. Probably a slow down with the government shutdown and federal workers not getting paid. I'm still waiting on my new drivers license from the DMV. I ordered it two weeks ago. I still can't find the other one. It's likely either in the house somewhere, fell on the floor and the cat hockey pucked it under or behind something, or it's in the Corolla fallen under one of the front seats. In the meantime I have a temporary PDF file drivers license downloaded onto my cell phone, but it's not a picture ID though.

I have my old license that expired in 2022. But I need the new one to arrive in the mail before I see the new dermatologist next week to use as official ID. I don't want to have to bump back this appointment. It's probably the inverse type of psoriasis and my skin itches and burns. The burning feeling is not fun. The OTC treatments help somewhat but not enough. I need prescription strength ointment for it. This all started back in July and did start to go away with the cortisone cream, but came roaring back late last month and it's pretty uncomfortable. I'm used to dealing with standard eczema but this is definitely much worse.
