It only made it up into the low 70s for a few hours this afternoon. It's been raining since around 2 pm. Mostly drizzle or lighter rain with periods of moderate rain. It's been in the 60s most of the day. It feels like fall. Everything outside has a good soaking, something definitely needed. It will go down to 58-60 degrees both overnight tonight and tomorrow night. It will get back to the low 80s by Friday and mid 80s for the weekend.

I had PT this afternoon then picked up the nighttime artificial tears my eye doctor prescribed from CVS then picked up a few things at the store. For now the dry eye doctor just wants me to use the artificial tears frequently. He wants me to consider getting the Restasis drops. I don't know if I should because I have sinus polyps, my sinuses don't drain well and I am very vulnerable to developing those nasty sinus infections that can spread to my eyes which can cause red eye and eye mucus. Steroids are another type of immunossupresive drug which is why I only use steroids for only two weeks or so at a time. I can't use steroids long term.

The first hibiscus flower opened today. The tag incorrectly lists it as a deep mahogany type hibiscus but that's a mistake. The deep mahogany ones have dark red leaves the same color as Japanese maple leaves. This one has normal green leaves and the flower is red in color, but not a dark mahogany color. The petals are tomato red and the center is a slightly deeper shade of red. The next bud will probably bloom later next week. Some of the buds are still quite small so it will be blooming in stages likely for another 3-4 weeks. Hopefully this weekend I can get back to that ShopRite store to see if they have any more hibiscus plants left.
