It's a sun and clouds mix, about 90 degrees, high humidity and dewpoint. There is supposed to be a cold front coming through tonight with a chance of scattered thunderstorms. I went to the official national drought monitor website and a third of the state of NJ including my area is listed as abnormally dry conditions, so minor drought. Not good since this is the second summer in a row for us with this. After today the temperatures are supposed to be cooler. Days in the mid to upper 70s then back to low 80s late in the week. Autumn preview weather.

I'm still watering the plants. One of the flowers on my hibiscus is about to pop open. The flower color on the tag lists it as having deep mahogany red flowers so it will be interesting to see them blooming in person.

I didn't go to the laundromat yesterday. I put that off for another day but did grocery shop. I did the vacuuming and other chores. Today is a home day getting ready for the new week. More PT plus I see the dry eye specialist again.

The turtle is cute. I gave her some peach and after she ate she intensely watched me eating, looking longingly at my peach so I gave her more to eat which she happily munched on. All she has to do is see you holding a peach and she gets excited. She really loves them. They seem to be her favorite fruit now. The eastern peaches are still on sale at the stores for decent prices. Ours are probably from the South Jersey farms. The white peaches and California peaches are still very expensive. Just under three dollars a pound and not going on decent sales. The nectarines are pricey too.

My sister will be back from house/pet sitting today. The end of my quiet laid back weekend. She parks her big SUV in the driveway so I had to move the Corolla back out of the driveway and park in front of the house again. Unfortunate, since the car is shaded by an oak and one of the maples in the driveway but the elm in front of the house has a smaller footprint and more compact branches so the car gets pretty hot inside from the all southern exposure sunlight even though I have one of those front window sun shades for it.
