It's sunny and in the upper 80s headed to the low 90s. More humid than yesterday but it will be even more sticky starting tomorrow. It's hay fever season with the ragweed and other late sunmer-early fall weeds blooming so my sinuses aren't happy. No chance of rain today so everything will need watering.
It's my rest and recharge day between PT appointments and I'm a bit tired. But I should call the service station soon to see if they can squeeze the car in for an oil change. No other errands today, I did that yesterday after PT. Michael's greatly increased their rewards points given per purchase, so now you get rewarded with a $5 coupon much faster. I got one so I stopped by and bought three skeins and one was free with the coupon. I got all three for less than $10. But it's crazy to think back on the days when basic acrylic yarn was $2-3 per skein though.
I had a difficult time getting to the craft store because someone's car hit the side of an accordion style NJ Transit bus down the block from the craft store in the roundabout. A lot of people don't know how to drive properly in roundabouts unfortunately. The accident happened before I got there. The bus seemed to be empty and both drivers were outside walking around so thankfully no one was hurt. I arrived to a traffic buildup and had to backtrack in the opposite direction and use a parallel street to get back facing southeast again. I was able to bypass it all by going through the Home Depot parking lot to the rear exit of parking area, behind the store itself where the delivery trucks come in. That way you completely bypass the roundabout and exit directly across the street from the entrance to the shopping center with Michael's in it. There were cars following me doing the same thing to access the shopping center. Fortunately by the time I got out of the craft store the police had the drivers move the bus and car out of the roundabout and were parked at the curb on the road near the entrance to the shopping center. The bus driver did not look happy at all but the bus itself was just dinged up, no major damage. After all that I stopped by the supermarket and spent too much money on not that many groceries.
I bought more peaches to share with the turtle. She mainly stays in her tank, but what we really need is to buy one of those hard plastic wading pools for toddlers and preschoolers to use as a playpen for her.
