It's cloudy and hazy with temps in the mid 80s. I was going to bring the car up for the oil change today but repeated phone calls went unanswered. The mechanics are on a completely separate schedule from the gas pump attendants. It's possible they are on a vacation week and the place is only open for gasoline sales. I'll have to drive up there tomorrow and see if any of the mechanics are on duty.

I'm waiting on that Amazon package with the Hint water and yarn. FedEx says my package from Herrschner's should get here tomorrow. That's the two skeins of Big Twist yarn I ordered last Thursday when they were doing the one day only free shipping on Big Twist deal. I used to get the Herrschner's crafts catalog in the mail back in the late 80's-early 90s.

My HMO still hasn't approved the physical therapy additional six weeks extension yet so my appointment for PT tomorrow afternoon was cancelled. Right now I'm scheduled for next Monday but I told them if they hear back from the HMO tomorrow to call me so I can schedule a PT session for this Thursday or Friday. I have no doctor's appointments this week.

The squirrels are eating the acorns off the oaks and are making a bit of a mess in the front yard. I tidied up there and put out the pails for tomorrow's yard waste pickup. Time for me to water the outdoor plants again. It looks like another bumper crop year of acorns on the oaks and the squirrels are happily going to town eating them all. When I was in the backyard yesterday a big spider made a huge web between one of the trees and a shrub. I nearly walked into it. It's that time of year with the outdoor spiders and their big webs. I've lost track over the number of spider webs they've made right in front of the side door over the years since there are shrubs on both sides of the doorway providing stable spots to anchor their webs. We have lots of native spiders in NJ but almost all are harmless. The venomous ones like black widows are only seen on occasion here.
