I went to the Petco up the highway after lunch. The turtle food was just $10, but the Blue Buffalo dry cat food was $35 for a five and a half pound bag. It's the chicken flavor weight control variety since Nigel is a bit chonky. They sell the regular Wilderness for less money at the supermarkets but unfortunately none of them carry the weight control variety. You have to either buy it at Petco or PetSmart. They just have the regular chicken, duck, and salmon flavors at the grocery stores. He has been prone to chonkiness ever since he was neutered two years ago. Neutering the male cats sometimes drastically slows down their metabolism and they get fat easily. That highway is prone to traffic backups at any and all hours so I decided not to stop in anyplace slse to look around like the larger Kohl's or the other Barnes and Noble location.
Next time I need to buy a bag of cat food I should pick it up at the PetSmart over in the next county since it's in the same strip mall as the closest Walmart super center. I haven't been to any Walmart location recently at all since they're all out of my way. There are no Walmarts in my county. Not all New Jersey counties have them. I'm curious to see if they increased the size of their crafts department since Joann's shut down.
