It's in the mid 80s, sun and clouds mix, still very humid. They had flooding rain in parts of South Jersey yesterday afternoon. Some spots got over 7 inches of rain. We had heavy rain for a while at dinnertime but other than that just on and off lighter rain. I mowed the lawn yesterday afternoon before the rain started. Hopefully the rain will make the rest of our day lilies pop open soon. All the poor plants weren't exactly doing so great with last week's multiple days in a row of 100 degree temperatures with dry conditions.

I'm back from PT. My session went well. I didn't wear the ankle brace and didn't get any twinges of pain until the end. That's my last medical appointment of the week. My ankle seems to hurt less in the summer heat. My hands hurt more though.

No more errands this afternoon. Just relaxing and basic housework to do. The humidity level is supposed to drop tomorrow with another cold front coming through. Tomorrow would be the better day for trimming things and cutting more wisteria in the backyard. So far I haven't seen spotted lanternflies but we didn't get them in our neighborhood until August last year. I smacked as many of them as I could. I wish the birds would eat them. I saw on the news that bats eat them but we don't have bats in my neighborhood. We have chimney swift birds instead flying around at dusk. The chimney swifts probably live in the bell towers of the neighborhood churches. The spotted lanternflies are a major problem on the campus of the university on the other side of town and they eventually make their way here.
