Last night's rain passed us by. You could smell the rain in the air, but nothing fell here. There is supposed to be a cold front coming through this evening with heavy rain and wind. They're thinking dinnertime through 10 or 11 pm with boughts of heavy rain. I'll have to wait until later before putting the pails out to the curb with the cut up wisteria vines in them for tomorrow's pickup. I don't want them to get blown down the street when the front comes through.

It's in the 80s and sticky. A home day here just taking care of assorted things. It's my rest day between the Monday and Wednesday PT sessions. No plans here for the holiday on the weekend. Just the usual stuff. The town fireworks is set for Sunday July 6th because they always have it associated with a carnival at the park there. The park is six blocks away from us so you can see the fireworks standing in front of and looking up the driveway of a family up the block from us. Last year the town had a tiny fireworks budget and the fireworks show lasted all of five minutes.
