It's the end of a busy week and I am exhausted. On Wednesday our crab apple tree toppled over with the front part landing in our neighbors driveway so I had to get a tree service here to cut it up. I saved a bunch of crab apples, which are already ripe, for the seeds. My sister in Virginia wants to see if she can grow trees from them. I may try that myself. So now the front corner of the house opposite of the driveway side has no shade and you can see partway up of the side of the house there. No good because we live near our downtown shopping area and there is a group of homeless addicts who are around now and city hall isn't trying to do anything about the problem. They wander around the area and will trespass on private property looking for things to steal. There is a countywide Catholic Charities organization located in a neighboring community that helps the homeless but they aren't being brought in to help. We'll need to plant a privacy shrub there, but unfortunately you can't do that in high heat and it's about to go into the mid to upper 90s starting Sunday and last most of next week.

Yesterday was low 90s and sticky. I had the lense on the eye I had the cataract surgery on laser cleaned yesterday. It definitely makes a difference. I had my Dexa bone scan yesterday afternoon and walked out to the tail end of a thunderstorm. As soon as the rain ended the hot parking lot steamed up as the rain evaporated. It looked like rising smoke. This place was right by the supermarket I go to all the time so I picked up milk, bananas, some South Jersey blueberries (yum!), and a couple of other things.

We had more rain yesterday evening but later a cold front came through so the humidity is down and it's in the mid 80s today. In a while I have to mow the lawn. The grass certainly grew with all that rain. It's a home day here. I'm too tired for errands. My bloodwork came in and another test popped up positive confirming autoimmunity. There's definitely something amiss. I feel lousy and drained of energy all the time so no surprise there. I'll be having the tests for Sjogren's this summer and I'll have to see which other specialists my rheumatologist recommends I see when I see her early September. I think at this point the only condition ruled out is Lupus. The other autoimmune disorders seem to still be on the table and it's likely the result of the chronic Lyme. Lucky me
