Yesterday was muggy and in the 80s. Today is muggy and in the 70s. Spotty showers all weekend and the rain has started up again. Boy am I glad the gutter and downspouts are all new for the kitchen bump out roof. We had water pouring down the middle of the side of the Yankee gutter where the gutter was down pitched since the downspouts were old and clogged. The fascia board and soffit wood is all new there. The entire fascia board for that roof is now encased in thick aluminum. Keeps the pesky squirrels at bay. They are trying to chew into the fascia board of everyone's roofs on all the houses here. They're trying to nest in everyone's eaves. Our across the street neighbors are having all sorts of problems with the squirrels trying nest under their front porch roof and just replaced the fascia board again with a bigger thicker one this time.
Yesterday was laundry day for me, today was errands- craft store, Petco, picking up a couple of things from the store. My sister went overboard with prepping all week for the yard sale and just made $40 yesterday. She overthinks everything which meant she spent this week not focusing on her online artwork selling business. She was a real crab about it last night. Today she went to a video games convention thing. I think middle aged folks outnumber the younger people with video gaming these days. Her friend whose yard they're using ran the sale alone today, but my sister will be back manning the table with her tomorrow.
My ankle says enough is enough for today, just the basic evening chores and that's it. It was all crampy last night so it took me quite a while to fall asleep. I have to be so careful. At this point I'm putting off surgery because it would be a logistical nightmare to be out of commission for several months and be homebound hobbling around on crutches for the first six weeks. But if the tendon tearing gets too bad I'm going to be forced into surgery sooner rather than later. Right now it's exactly the same as it was last fall. So I really need to pace myself, take rest breaks, and will go back to PT in another week for the entire summer.
