I feel a bit sore but it's probably a combination of the jarring effect of falling plus the damp weather always triggers my arthritis. The fingers on my left hand I jammed up still are pretty sore. Banging up swollen arthritic finger joints isn't a smart thing to do. My balance is also bad. First I inherited the weaker ankle bone thing from my mom's side of the family. Now the arthritis has made the left ankle much more wobbly. The toe arthritis means I have permanently bent three middle toes on both feet. Now it's just the big toes and the baby toes that are normal. So that also throws off my balance.
My MRI of the left ankle last week doesn't seem to show any signs of that bone fracture anymore so I don't want to fall and develop another ankle fracture. It seems like the bone marrow edema has resolved itself but the general ankle edema by the swollen tendons was visible in the imaging. I've developed more pain at the bottom of my heel and at the arch so it was no surprise I now have plantar fascitis. The tendons are still torn. No surprise there. They're still terribly swollen.
It's raining and just in the mid 50s. A home day for me trying to do some spring reorganizing. I did get up to Michael's yesterday and even though the yarn wasn't on sale with my 15% of your total order coupon I got a handful of skeins of their Loops and Threads worsted weight yarn for $17. Three of those skeins are for the cat's blanket.
My one niece called me last night. They've finally had some rain out there. They're in one of the smaller towns outside Las Vegas and they've had drought issues for several years now. There are more families living in their subdivision now so the wildlife like the desert jackrabbits have left. They used to have a lot of jackrabbits, desert tortoises, and lizards. Now they're just down to the ravens who are still around. They're town is getting more built up so I guess the wildlife is moving out more into the still empty desert. They're in the desert that has the Joshua trees scattered around. They're about 45 minutes away from Death Valley which is actually below sea level which is why it gets so hot, but they're higher elevation though. They're on the other side of one of the mountain passes that leads to Las Vegas. My nephew, her older brother, moved up north to a suburb of Reno since the job market is better up there vs their smaller hometown and he's doing okay.
