This morning I received yet another text reminder about tomorrow's MRI appointment along with a phone call from a staff member for a verbal confirmation.
Yesterday when they took the recycling the plastic/glass/metal truck must have been full since they just took almost all the plastic bottles from their container and left the metal cans and glass bottles container completely untouched. They took none of these things from the houses across the street from us or further up the block. Driving around the neighborhood I saw containers of plastic, metal, glass recycling untouched in front of people's houses. They only took all the paper and cardboard recycling in the neighborhood. For us, it's just one of those grey painters buckets from Lowe's with their logo on it that has the glass and cans, plus I shoved the remaining plastic bottles in the pail, so it was easy to put that in a corner in the basement.
They did take everyone's yard waste this morning, thankfully.
It's a home day for me. I should sort the laundry to take to the laundromat on Friday when it's supposed to just be light on and off showers. The heavy rain comes in later tonight and throughout the overnight. Hopefully it won't be too heavy when I have to drive to my appointment tomorrow morning. Only the first two miles of the trip is on the highway, just to get me quickly across the river to the next town, but there's a low spot prone to nasty flooding on the highway not far from here. I may have to take a longer route to get to the other side of the river involving just main roads, no highway, if it's messy weather in the morning.
