It's cloudy with on and off light rain. Not enough rain to stop the road work down the street at the intersection. The heavier rain will be tonight into tomorrow.

Heidi, I crochet in the evenings before bed as well as a way to relax and unwind from the day.

It's pretty much a home day. On Sunday at dinnertime the overhead heat lamp for the turtle's terrarium shorted out with loud crackling sounds. It was connected to a power strip that wasn't a surge protector model, so yesterday I went to Home Depot for surge protector power strips, for her tank setup, plus one for the living room TV and floor lamp since that also had a non surge protector power strip. Not so safe. Those overhead heat lamps for pet reptiles aren't designed so great so that will be replaced by a different type of heater. It's a secondary heat source and since we're going into summer soon it's not going to be replaced until it's closer to fall. Afterwards I spent time cutting wisteria vines that are trying to wrap themselves around the crabapple tree.

I didn't get to paint that spot in the back of the house. It will have to wait with the rain. My foot and ankle are stiff and achy and I feel tired so it's just a basic housework and paperwork day for me, plus I need to get the cut branches out to the curb later for tomorrow's yard waste pickup.
