It's mostly sunny and in the mid 70s. The rain returns on Tuesday with showers. Steadier rain for Wednesday, then showers through either next Friday or Saturday. In a while I'll head to the supermarket for a few things. On Sundays it's better to go later in the afternoon to avoid the family weekly grocery shopping crowds.
I was looking for packages of a half dozen eggs the last time I grocery shopped since we don't eat that many, and they just had half dozen organic ones for $10. Nope. The prices are still ridiculously high. There is a bird flu vaccine for farm animals. I don't know why all the farmers aren't using it. We're the only first world country failing to properly contain bird flu in our farm animals.
I snapped a picture of the skeins of yarn I got for my sister yesterday and texted it to her. This was all from the Lion brand acrylic yarn line where the colors are named in honor of National Parks. They didn't have the K+C wool yarn she likes. They had a couple of random Lion worsted weight wool skeins but the sale on them wasn't as good so I didn't take any. I bought myself a lot of the Big Twist yarn with a few skeins of the Lion and Red Heart yarn. Most skeins were worsted, but a couple were baby yarn. I wanted the baby yarn for lace knitting. I don't know if I'll get back there again before the store closes for good at the end of the month. There is still no news about any craft store chain or online retailer buying the rights to K+C yarn from Joann's yet. So far it's just Herrschner's getting Big Twist yarns.
