It's actually sunny today and in the 70s after a chilly day and night yesterday. I did put the heat on last night but it took a while for the furnace to catch up since it hadn't been on for weeks.

I went to Joann's this afternoon and got more yarn for me and my sister. They didn't have any more skeins of that one color scheme of the Red Heart granny squares yarn. I'll have to buy it online either through Amazon or Walmart.com. Afterwards I went to the Barnes and Noble store nearby and got two paperback cozy mysteries from ongoing series I enjoy. A nice afternoon out for me for a change. Most of the time shopping is just for household essentials, not fun stuff.

Tomorrow and Monday will also be warm and sunny, good days for doing yardwork. The grass needs mowing with all that rain. I should paint that spot on the back of the house Monday. The meteorologists didn't mention the latest drought report on the news last night. Maybe they'll discuss it tonight. The rain showers come back in the middle of next week.
