It's in the 70s and a sun and clouds mix at the moment but they warned about the rain with storm cells approaching the area after 2 pm and steady rain by about 4 pm or so. Not a good afternoon to go up the highways to Joann's. I'll have to go either Saturday or next Monday since this is in Bergen County where they have Sunday blue laws, so the shops there are all shut down for the day.
I went to Rite Aid after the laundromat yesterday and they had a sign up saying they aren't taking returns after June 5th, but no date listed for when the store is closing for good. The company is trying to sell off some stores to other chain's though. Since I'm still masking up in indoor public places due to my asthma I buy the blue medical masks from them. They're more breathable than the CVS brand. I noticed a big difference when I had physical therapy and was peddling away on the stationary bike as a warm up exercise. I would get winded with the CVS ones but don't have that issue with Rite Aid masks. Unfortunately my Stop and Shop supermarkets stopped carrying the brand of masks that was also good. So I'm going to stock up on their masks while I can and asked my sister in Virginia to pick a few boxes up from her Rite Aid. Breathability in masks is trickier when you have asthma. But it's all serious business though. A friend of mine who also has allergies and borderline asthma stopped masking during cold and flu season and she's back to picking up colds which turn into bronchitis and are very slow to recover from. I don't want to take that chance anymore.
